Paige & Scott
May 20th, 2017
The love story of Paige and Scott began at the police precinct where they worked together; she as a dispatcher and him as a police officer. Paige noticed Scott checking her out, so one day to initiate a conversation, she asked him for a ‘favor’ and watch her house while he was working that night. Even though Paige had just gotten out of a serious relationship, Scott nervously took the plunge and asked her out. Paige says “I never realized how much I needed Scott in my life, but he walked in at just the right time and swept me off my feet!”.
On their 3 year anniversary, Paige arrived home from work to a meal prepared by Scott. After dinner, he sat her down on the couch and blindfolded her for a big surprise. Scott enlisted the help of their dog and placed her on Paige’s lap. At first, Paige thought the surprise was the new dog that she had been asking for. After to feeling something unfamiliar around the dog’s neck, Paige realized it was something so much more. She pulled off the blindfold to find Scott down on one knee. With an excited filled YES!, she gladly accepted his proposal. But the night was not over there, Scott whisked her away for the night to a romantic hotel.
To keep the romance going, Paige and Scott planned a simple, yet elegant wedding to celebrate their love. Beautiful hues blue and pink florals created a light and airy feel, while navy blue and gold decor filled their rustic venue. Surrounded by the love of their friends and families, Paige and Scott tied the knot and danced the night away.

What Do You Love About Each Other?
Scott and I have a lot of the same interests, but also many different ones that help keep the spark going. He always knows how to make me laugh. He keeps me grounded and we have had so few fights about anything. There is always a good discussion and a compromise if needed. We are such equal halves to each other that makes it that much greater. We couldn’t imagine a better partner for either of us and are excited to see what else this life has in store for us.
How Does Your Wedding Style Personify You As A Couple?
It was very simple but elegant. It was a perfect blend of both of our styles and we incorporated items that we could use in our house after the wedding. Our guest book was a wood sign with a reindeer head that was signed and will hang in our room.
Did You Have Any Gush-Worthy Vendors?
Our florist knocked it out of the park! And we couldn’t have done the decorating without my husband and our families.
Do You Have Any Planning Advice for Other Couples?
Do what you want to do and don’t worry about pleasing everyone else. It’s your day and you make it how you want it. We did not do the traditional ‘go around to each table and say thank you’ we asked everyone to grab a drink and meet us on the dance floor because we just wanted to have a good time after all of the planning and expenses.
Also, take some time after the ceremony with just you two. 5-10 minutes to really take each other in and enjoy it before everyone gushes over you and congratulates you.
