Rachel & Nate
June 17th, 2017
Being lost from your friends at a party can be the worst! For Rachel and Nate, it wound up being one to the best things that could have happened to them. It was at that party that they found each other. Eight years later, Nate decided to pop the big question. To catch Rachel off-guard Nate suggested to go out for a date night at a nice restaurant by the river. After dinner, they took a stroll down by the river and found themselves talking about growing old together. Before Rachel knew it, Nate was down on one knee asking her to be his girl forever.
This free-spirited couple had a blast at their wedding celebration amongst great friends and family. For decor, they choose an eclectic mix of vintage finds. From their beautiful miss-matched china to colorful water glasses to an antique suitcase card box, they created a lovely vintage boho feel. This vintage look was completed by the bride’s delicate lace gown and hand tied colorful bouquet filled blooms of ranunculus, lisianthus, and chrysanthemums. Oh, and how can we forget the cute vintage coffee cart! But nothing stood out more on their big day than the beautiful smiles that stayed Rachel and Nate’s faces.

What Do You Love About Each Other?
Our relationship began like a blaze of fire! Two opposite people that enjoyed and understood the same things about life. We still question how we are so lucky to find another person to share our lives with that enjoy and care about so many of the same things in life.
What Was Your Favorite Part About Planning Your Wedding?
It was the bonding experience with my mom since we did most of everything DIY. The flowers, dishes, appetizers, desserts, and ALL the decor. We worked for a year getting decor, dishes, etc from thrift stores and auctions.
What Was Your Favorite Part of Your Wedding?
Reading each other’s vow letters prior to the wedding. We decided to do this because we wanted to keep it personal without seeing each other before the wedding.
What Was Your Favorite Detail of Your Wedding?
I loved the water glasses. They were such deep beautiful colors and added so much to the decor.
Did You Have Any Gush-Worthy Vendors?
Chelsea Hall was an amazing photographer. She was professional, always on time and quick with a response, and most of all super friendly. Her style is exactly what we were looking for – beautifully crafted, artistically awesome photos. She captured every special moment of the day and was so incredibly unobtrusive you barely knew she was there!
Do You Have Any Wedding Planning Advice For Other Couples?
HAVE FUN…the whole “weddings are so stressful” is a lie. Serenity is key! One CHOOSES to make something stressful!
